Hello Giancarlo,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you brought your question to us. I love boarding Disney transportation and feeling the cares of the world melt away as my magical vacation begins!
It sounds like you have some plans already in place and that you might be traveling with a large crew, so let's think through how to handle your luggage. First, I find that the
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation is an easy way to travel from Walt Disney World Resort to
Port Canaveral. Keep in mind that if you are cruising from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, you will need to arrange other transportation. You book Disney Cruise Line transportation (for an additional fee) directly through the cruise line. I think the easiest way to do so is by
calling and speaking with a reservation specialist.
You will receive a digital resort letter via email with your exact departure information 48 hours prior to embarkation that will provide you with the exact pickup time and other instructions. Then, you can contact Bell Services at your resort hotel to pick up your luggage from your room and have it ready to load your cruise transportation. Once you arrive at the port, porters will greet the bus to assist. Be sure to place the
luggage tags Disney Cruise Line provides on your checked luggage before you board the bus in Walt Disney World to expedite the check-in process at the port.
Depending on your travel arrangements before your cruise, it may be more travel and budget-friendly to rent a car at Orlando International Airport or from the
Car Care Center at Walt Disney World Resort, drive yourself to the port, and return your car to the rental location at the port. There, a shuttle bus will drive you to the terminal.
I hope this information is what you were looking for Giancarlo.
Please write back to me if you have other questions or need more information.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
