Welcome aboard, Michele! My family and stay at a Walt Disney World Resort before we sail with Disney each time, as we love to squeeze in every bit of Disney magic we can during our trips!
You won't find out the exact time that the
Disney Cruise Line ground transfers will pick you up from your resort until the night before departure. That night prior, you'll receive a note or call in your resort room letting you know the pick-up time and location at the resort as well as what time to have any checked luggage ready to send ahead to the ship. Normally, we've been told to have checked luggage tagged with the cruise tags and ready just inside the door of our resort room by 8:00 a.m., and we don't even need to be there when they pick it up. Then, the luggage will meet us in our stateroom on the ship in the late afternoon. We keep anything we will need for the day and early evening in our carry-on bags and then spend a relaxing morning enjoying breakfast and more exploring at our resort.
The motorcoaches normally pick up guests at resorts anywhere from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., but again, you'll be given the exact time the night prior. One great thing about arriving at the port a bit later is that most of the crowds have died down by then and sometimes guests arriving on the motorcoaches will get to then walk right onto the ship. If not, it certainly won't be a long wait until it's your turn!
Don't worry about the
Port Arrival Time you chose during online check-in. Disney knows that if you have booked their ground transfers, you'll arrive with that group, so even if the time you chose is way off, you can still check in right when you arrive at the terminal and be all set.
Stop back with any other questions, Michele!
