We are staying at a disney resort. We did not purchase the dining plan. My question is, can we purchase a dining plan for 3 days? We are staying 5 nights but will only be at the parks 3 days.

The Disney Dining Plan must be purchased for the number of nights that you are staying at your WDW resort. Since you will not be at WDW for all of your trip, the DDP may not be the best use of your dining dollars.

However, you may want to think about where you will be spending your evening time in Orlando. If you will be having dinner in the WDW area, you should know that there are many wonderful restaurants in the Disney resorts. Several of these are gourmet experiences that require two table service credits. If you were to eat at a few of these restaurants, you might burn through five days worth of credits in three days. Also, your snack credits can be used on non-perishable items like cookies or pretzels that you can bring home as gifts or souvenirs.

You really have to sit down and do the math about what will work best for your unique situation.

    Good luck!
