We are staying at a Disney resort for 3 nights can we buy a 2 or 3 day dining plan?

Hiya, Kim! Welcome to planDisney. I always love a delicious dining plan question!

I’m a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan when planning a family holiday. Strategizing how to use our dining credits and which restaurants to enjoy (do we try somewhere new? Go back to an old favorite?) is a whole family activity and one of my favorite parts of the trip planning process. It’s always interesting to see which restaurant a 4-year-old chooses…

The number of dining credits you receive is based on the number of nights you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and there is currently no option for modifying the number of dining credits. I talked with one of our amazing UK panelists and they informed me that dining plans can only be added to holiday packages that include park tickets and a Disney hotel reservation for 5 nights or more. If you would like to take advantage of having a dining plan, I suggest contacting a Cast Member—or whoever you booked your trip through—for assistance.

If you do purchase the Disney Dining Plan, be sure to download the My Disney Experience app to help track your meal credits. After you’ve checked in at your hotel, visit the “My Resort Stay” section and then select “Check Dining Plan.” This will show you all the dining and snack credits you’ve used and how many are still available. You can also see the number of remaining credits at the bottom of your dining receipts or by asking a Cast Member at Guest Relations.

Kim, your magical trip to Walt Disney World is just around the corner! Come right back if you have any other holiday planning questions. Your pals at planDisney are happy to help.

    Magical travels!
