Hi, Betsey! There's no better place to combine business with pleasure than Walt Disney World Resort! Let's talk about some
childcare options, so you don't have to worry about your kiddo while you're at the trade show, because Mickey doesn't want you to be stressed while you're on vacation!
The first place I'd recommend you contacting is Kid's Nite Out. They are approved by Disney, but as a mom, I highly recommend them, too! I also happen to have a ten-year-old, and I've used this service twice for him when I've run the Princess Half Marathon. Not only did they show up to my resort room promptly at 3:30 AM, but they came with a "bag of tricks," including games, crafts, and puzzles. On both occasions, I received text messages with updates regarding when he woke up, what he ate for breakfast, and what games they played. This feedback gave me the peace of mind I needed to hear. The Caregivers will even take your child down to the resort quick service restaurant for a snack or meal. They will not take your child into the theme parks, however, and any water activities are not allowed, so no swimming and no baths. Reservations are highly recommended. Contact them at (407) 828-0920, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
Another idea is
Pixar Play Zone at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Kids are fed dinner and dessert and participate in Pixar themed activities with some beloved characters. The hours of this experience are from 6:00-10:30 PM nightly. If you're looking for daytime arrangements, this may not work, but it's a super fun option if you want to enjoy a night out or a quiet dinner. Call (407) 824-KIDS or (407) 824-5437 for more information.
I hope you have a magical vacation, Betsey! Come see us again if you have any more planning needs!
