Do you have to be staying at a Disney resort hotel in order to use the monorail system around Grand Floridian etc? It is just that we are going to be staying in Lake Buena Vista and want to make a visit to Grand Floridian and may wish to use the monorail?

Hi Zoe! The Grand Floridian is a beautiful resort and it's definitely worth visiting! The resort has some lovely shops and lots of great restaurants. There's even an orchestra playing in the lobby in the evenings! You're welcome to visit the resort, and you may use the monorail even if you're not staying there. You do not have to show a resort room key to ride the monorail.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
