Hi Robin! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
As another resident of Massachusetts, I know that heading down to
Walt Disney World Resort is a grand, exciting vacation that takes lots of planning! It sounds like you're ready to roll with your
Theme Park Tickets and
Theme Park Reservations, so you're well on your way to enjoying every moment you spend at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Once you set foot on Walt Disney World Resort's 40 square miles of property you'll be able to use any of the
complimentary transportation options to get you where you need and want to go. Even if you're not staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Guests are still welcome to use Disney busses, water taxis, the Monorail, and the
Disney Skyliner to get to and from the Resorts, Theme Parks, Water Parks and the shopping, dining and entertainment district of Disney Springs.
With so many places to explore outside of the Theme Parks, many Guests spend days or even entire vacations visiting Disney Resorts, taking in a performance of Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney, or even just hanging out in the pool of their chosen Disney Resort. If "pool time" is a definite for you and your family, you might want to look into a stay at Disney's Yacht Club or Disney's Beach Club Resort. The pool,
Stormalong Bay, is more like a miniature water park than a pool! It has a sand bottom, a lazy river, and even a waterslide that takes you right through a shipwreck! I think my kids could spend an entire day here if we had the time!
Even if you're not staying at a Disney Resort that is on the Disney Skyliner line you might really enjoy taking the ride and getting a bird's-eye-view of the Resort below. You can use this mode of transportation to get from
EPCOT to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and vice versa or to leave one of those Parks for an Advance Dining Reservation at one of the Resorts on the line. You definitely won't want to miss the best attraction outside of the Parks!
Enjoy every moment of your stay, Robin!
