Hi Nancy! You are really going to enjoy Disney's
Memory Maker photo service. I have used this service on two separate trips and have really enjoyed how simple and easy it is to capture, download and share my vacation memories with all my friends and family. I hope your family enjoys it as much as I have.
Your daughter certainly can use your
Memory Maker before you arrive at Walt Disney World. Your
Memory Maker will be "redeemed" once you download your first photo. Once you have downloaded your first picture, you will have 30 more days to capture additional memories. Photographs will stay in your account for 45 days after they are taken, so as long as you begin your download before any pictures have expired, you will have no problem using
Memory Maker over a period of a few weeks.
Please make sure your daughter is linked in your My Disney Experience as a friend and family member, and that she has enabled photo sharing. This will allow any photos that she has taken to be seen in your
Memory Maker account. Since she is not staying on property, she can choose to purchase a
MagicBand when she arrives at Walt Disney World and have photos added by touching the
MagicBand, or she can have Disney
PhotoPass photographers add pictures to a
PhotoPass card. You can add the
PhotoPass card numbers to your Memory Maker account anytime before they expire.
I encourage you to check out the
Memory Maker Frequently Asked Questions page, which is a treasure trove of knowledge about this fun new service. Enjoy your time at Walt Disney World making memories with your family.
