We are staying at Disney Beach Club and purchased Park Hopper. Can we enter Epcot each morning to catch the monorail to Magic Kingdom if that's where our reservation is for the day?

    Hi there, Rebecca.

Welcome to planDisney! In just a few short months, you'll be blasting off to Space Mountain, flying over Neverland with Peter Pan, and waltzing with 999 Happy Haunts. It's the perfect time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and there's so much to look forward to on your trip. You'll get to experience all the festivities of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, as well as one of my favorite annual events, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I bet you can't wait to be right in the middle of the magic!

Disney's Beach Club Resort is such a beautiful Disney Resorts Collection hotel! Its picturesque location next to the water and close proximity to EPCOT really make it stand out amongst the rest. Plus, there are so many delicious places to eat on site! I recently dined with my husband there at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop and highly recommend it. Where else can you get an ice cream sundae that's the size of a basketball?

I, too, love to take a ride on the Walt Disney World Monorail System to get to the theme parks in the mornings and when I am park hopping. Unfortunately, in your scenario, you will not be able to enter EPCOT in the morning to catch the monorail over to Magic Kingdom for the day, because you have to enter the park your Theme Park Reservation is at first before you can enter another theme park for park hopping. In other words, if your Theme Park Reservation for the day is at Magic Kingdom Park, you have to scan into Magic Kingdom before you can scan into EPCOT that day. Your scenario requires you to first scan into EPCOT even though your park reservation is at Magic Kingdom.

Instead, you will need to utilize the Disney Bus Transportation at your Resort to get to Magic Kingdom Park. Bus transportation typically starts running 45 minutes prior to park opening and continues until one hour after park closing. Since you have your heart set on the monorail and added the Park Hopper Option onto your Theme Park Tickets, I suggest you ride the monorail over to EPCOT when you are finished with your fun at Magic Kingdom Park for the day. This way, you still get to soar through the sky aboard the iconic monorail at some point on your trip.

Rebecca, I hope this helps, and I hope your magical vacation is everything you've been dreaming of and more. If you have further questions, please stop back by planDisney. We're happy to help!

    Faith, trust, and pixie dust,
    Alyssa
