We are staying in the disney area in Sept. We are staying off the park and we are trying to budget. We are only about 3 miles from the park. Is there a parking fee if we drove? Or is there a better way for us to get to the park? Thanks!

Hi, Jessica!  There is a parking fee at each of the Walt Disney World theme parks of $14.00 per car per day.  The good news about that is if you decide to take your car to multiple theme parks on the same day, you still only have to pay the fee one time.

If you are staying at an off property resort, you can ask at that resort if they have a shuttle service.  Many of the local resorts do offer theme park transportation.  Some of them include the cost as part of a hotel stay package, but there is a fee for many of the shuttle services.  You will have to check with your resort to see what they offer.

Another possibility is the Lynx bus system.  Again, depending on where you are staying, you may be convenient to the Orlando area public transportation system, the Lynx buses.  This may be another affordable way for you to get to the theme parks, but you may want to check with your resort to see how close they are to a Lynx bus stop that will get you to the theme parks.

Taxi service is readily available in the area, although you may find that some taxi services cost as much as it would cost you to park at the theme parks.

I hope that helps in providing some options!
