We are staying at Coronado Springs in October. We have an early breakfast reservation at the Whispering Canyon cafe and the Cape May Cafe. How would you use the transportation to get to these reservations? We do not want to spend the money to take a taxi.

Hi Lacey! Like you, I'd rather spend my money on souvenirs than taxis, especially since Walt Disney World offers free transportation. As long as you don't mind spending some time traveling on buses, you can get just about anywhere at Disney without paying for a cab.

Since buses don't run directly between the resort hotels, you'll need to travel to a park and then switch to a bus heading to the resort where you're planning to dine. For breakfast at Cape May Cafe, take the bus to Hollywood Studios and then hop on the boat to the Beach Club, or take a bus to Blizzard Beach and then take a bus to the Beach Club. To reach the Whispering Canyon Cafe, take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take the boat to the Wilderness Lodge. Since you'll have to switch modes of transportation during the trip, I'd recommend you leave your resort at least an hour or more before your reservations. (Having to get up extra early to travel to breakfast at another resort is the main reason some people choose to pay a cab instead of using Disney transportation. The taxi ride from Coronado Springs to the Beach Club takes under 10 minutes versus the hour or more on Disney transportation.)
