We will be staying at Coronado springs for the first time this September. This will be our child's first trip to Disney! We want to decorate the window and are wondering how much space in the window we will be working with? Thanks so much!!

Hi, Brittany! Congratulations on booking your child's first visit to Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many unforgettable adventures just waiting for all of you! Be sure to check out the First Visit Guide, which will help you plan all the basics of your trip. I am not sure the age of your child, but there are helpful guides for visiting with preschoolers and even Disney Tween and Teens! Also, know that we are more than happy to help you along the way.

Let's discuss your current question. It is so great that Guests really get into window decorating with their children! On a trip last year, we saw a room that had different decorations each day, centered around a child's Disney-themed costume. One day, they had a Tinker Bell dress hanging in the window (held by suction cups) with Peter Pan figurines on the window sill and removable cling-type star stickers on the window. Another day, they had Minnie and Mickey Mouse costumes hanging in the window with a pair of yellow shoes in the window sill, along with a framed sign that said, "Mishka Mushka Mickey Mouse!" So creative! Take a look at Pinterest if you need some ideas for decorating this space. There are so many clever Disney-loving Guests out there!

We have occasionally had Guests ask us about the dimensions of various parts of the Resort hotel rooms, so I actually have started taking a measuring tape with me on our trips! I can tell you that my notes from my stay last year at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort say the standard room window in measured just a bit less than 5 feet by 5 feet.

Brittany, I hope this helps you plan for an unforgettable window during your visit! Please do stop by again if you need any other help.
