We are staying at Coronado arriving 12/24 for 5 days, what resort restaurants would you suggest for a family tweens that don't like fancy food. With the parks closing early and resorts limited to guests with ADRs we'd like to see their decorations.

Ho ho ho, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney.

Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are the absolute best, and I am so excited to help you find some fabulous, festive dining options for you and your tweens.

Jennifer, my absolute favorite resort to visit during the holiday season is Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The massive Christmas tree in the lobby combined with cozy rocking chairs in front of the fireplace practically screams country Christmas. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is also home to the Whispering Canyon Cafe. This BBQ joint has fabulous individual options as well as all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style meals. A word of caution, some of the hosts at this restaurant are known for some pretty funny hijinx.

Another fabulous option for you is the Grand Floridian Cafe. Located in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this cafe has fried chicken, burgers, and steak with some beautiful upscale lobby decor. If you would like, you can then hop on the Monorail to explore Disney's Contemporary Resort, or you can take the walking path to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Jennifer, you absolutely must visit Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort, home of the famous Kitchen Sink Sundae! This hopping spot was modeled after a classic 50's style Soda Shop with burgers, sandwiches, and some unbelievable milkshakes.

If you are looking for something a little more upscale, I would recommend you visit Ale & Compass Restaurant, located in Disney's Yacht Club Resort.

Both Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort are located at Disney's BoardWalk, which is a great place to spend some time walking around and one dining reservation will let you visit the three resorts located there.

I hope that this gave you some ideas for holly jolly fun, Jennifer. Remember that you can make your advanced dining reservations 60-days out. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help as you plan your magical holiday getaway.

    See you real soon!
