Staying at Contemporary, but plan to visit the Boardwalk one night.. I see its open until about 2am. How late do the buses and monorail run for us to get back to our hotel? Mom will have an ECV so I'm not sure taking a cab is an option??

Hi, Sandra!  You can count on bus transportation from Disney's Hollywood Studios back to the Contemporary Resort to run about an hour after the theme park closes for the evening.  You will want to keep an eye on that time for the easiest means of transportation.  You might luck into an evening where there are extra magic hours, so the transportation will be available up to three hours later than it would on a normal night.

You can take a taxi from the Boardwalk to the Contemporary, assuming you have an ECV that will disassemble in some fashion.  Some scooter fold down, the battery comes off, or the handles come off to make it transportable in the trunk of a car or the back of a minivan.  If you are renting your scooter, ask specifically for one that you can transport in a regular vehicle.  If you are bringing your own, see if it's something you can take apart for easier transport.

In a rare circumstance, you may be able to find a taxi that is a full size van with the space to put a fully in tact scooter in the back.  These will be a very rare breed, as most full size vans offer seating for 10 people, but if there is one with an open back, the scooter can be lifted and carried in the back.  I would not count on this as a viable option unless you contact some area cab companies in advance to see if there is one you can reliably count on to provide this type of vehicle when you need it.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
