    Hi! We're staying at The Contemporary for our next trip, and was curious if the monorail security checkpoint is still in operation? It would be great to go through security before getting on the monorail, instead of at the Magic Kingdom front gate!

    Although security procedures may change at any time without notice, currently Guests will undergo security screening prior to boarding the monorail at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Transportation and Ticket Center.  If you have anything in your bag that might be flagged -- umbrellas and glasses cases are common culprits -- remove them from your bag and hold them in your hand with your arm extended in front of you as you enter the screening area.

    I do hope you'll be able to check out the new Steakhouse 71 during your visit.  I haven't been yet, but it is on my list for my next visit!  I hear the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake is amazing!!

    Be sure to sample some of the delicious 50th Anniversary treats available during the World's Most Magical Celebration.  One of my favorites is the Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie available at Fairfax Fare in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It is HUGE and definitely shareable!  Did you know, you can even use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to pick up this treat?
