I will be staying the a Club Level room at the Contemporary and have a gluten intolerance. Do they have food/drink options that are gluten free? Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney Caroline!

I bet you are excited about your upcoming stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort! I stayed at the Club Level before and it is absolutely amazing! When you arrive at the resort, you will be escorted up to the 12th floor, where the Atrium Club Level is located, and then introduced to a concierge Cast Member who will help you get settled in. Please inform the Cast Member in concierge services that you require gluten-free options for dining. They will be happy to help you and make sure that there are gluten-free options for you.

In the concierge lounge, there are several food and beverage options offered throughout the day. The great news is that many of their standard offerings are gluten-free. From 6:30 am-10 pm you can get coffee, including espresso and cappuccino. A continental breakfast is served between 7-10:30 am, which includes fresh fruit. Lite Bites are served between 11:30 am-4 pm and there are potato chips, fruit, and nuts that are all gluten-free. Contemporary Flavors is held from 5-7 pm and you can choose between plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. During Cordials and Desserts (8-10 pm) you can have apples dipped in caramel or choose one of the many drink options, including wine or soda.

I also highly encourage you to visit Special Dietary Requests, which provides even more detail on Disney's allergy-friendly options. You can also contact specialdiets@disneyworld.com prior to your trip to inform them of your gluten allergy and they can send you a list of the no-gluten added products they have throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts!

Walt Disney World is absolutely amazing with helping Guests with special dietary requests. When I visited the park with a Guest with a shell-fish allergy, the chef came to the table and spoke about the cooking process and how they would ensure to provide a dish that was both safe and delicious. They also provided a special allergy-friendly menu upon our arrival.

For gluten-free dining throughout the parks and resorts, I highly recommend noting the gluten allergy on all Advanced Dining Reservations, which you can do through MyDisneyExperience. I also want to make a recommendation to check out Garden Grill in Epcot. While the food is served family style, they will provide an entire separate tray of foods for the gluten-intolerant Guest; Fish without breading, No sauce on the steak or gravy on the turkey, and omission of the stuffing. Did you know that you can also get gluten-free Mickey waffles? There are so many gluten-free options available! I know you will be extremely happy!

I hope you have a magical vacation!
    Magically,
    Stacy
