Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort your home away from home during your vacation! I completely understand your concerns about getting around with an ECV. As a wheelchair user myself, I've navigated Walt Disney World many times, so I'm happy to help put your mind at ease.
When traveling with an ECV, you'll be loaded onto the
bus first, even if there are already other Guests onboard. The bus does not need to be completely empty before you can board. Most Disney buses can accommodate at least two ECVs, with designated securement areas where they can be safely parked for the ride. In my experience, if Guests are seated in those designated spaces, the bus driver will kindly ask them to move so you can board safely.
While I can't say for certain which building you'll be assigned until check-in, the Old Port Royale bus stop is typically the first stop at Caribbean Beach, although bus routes can occasionally change.
The good news is that because you're staying at Caribbean Beach Resort, you'll also have access to the
Disney Skyliner for transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. I actually find the Skyliner to be the easiest way to get around. You can simply roll right into the gondola without transferring, making boarding quick, smooth, and incredibly convenient. That means you'll only need to use the bus when visiting Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom!
