We will be staying at CBR in about six weeks. I did not reserve a preferred room. What building would you suggest I request if we want to be close to the pool and food court? Also, what are the chances of being upgraded to a preferred room at check in?

    Hi Kelly!

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of the largest on property, with decor and ambiance reminiscent of the islands of the Caribbean! Pirate Rooms are also available at this resort for guests looking to channel their inner Jack Sparrow!

Proximity to Old Port Royale is definitely key to guests wishing to enjoy the amenities and food courts available. The closest non preferred building would be Jamaica 44-46 and Aruba 51-53. You can access OPR by taking a short 10-15 minute walk across the foot bridge. Make sure that you speak to a Guest Services Representative to have these requests added to your reservation. Upgrades to preferred rooms are usually just a sprinkle of pixie dust added by the reservation system, and although they do occur, there is no particular rhyme or reason for it.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
