Warm island greetings, Kelly! Welcome back to planDisney! I love that you're getting so excited for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and with good reason. All the planning you're doing will pay off when you're relaxing on the beach at your amazing Resort hotel!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a real jewel in the Disney Resorts Collection. I love the calm pastel colors and the laid-back island vibe of this gorgeous spot. Plus, the Fuentes del Morro pool is one of the best on property, and don't miss the
Banana Cabana pool bar! There's nothing better than sipping a tropical drink while enjoying a warm breeze. Ahhh, I can feel the relaxation now...
But back to your question! Now that the
Disney Skyliner whisks Guests of this Resort hotel off to two different theme parks, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is super convenient, too. The Skyliner's hours of operation will depend on the hours the parks are open, but it's generally been about 90 minutes to an hour before opening. If you have time the night before you plan to visit
Disney's Hollywood Studios, I'd walk over to one of the Skyliner stations (there are two that serve your Resort hotel) and ask Cast Members working there what time service begins the next day. They'll have the most up-to-date information to help you plan your day.
Now, let's talk about one other thing: morning lines. I'd be remiss if I didn't let you know that the Disney Skyliner stations are busiest in the hour or so before each of the theme parks it serves opens for the day. Don't necessarily let that discourage you, though! The lines move pretty quickly; you'll just want to build in some extra time to your park arrival plan. However, if you really want to get to the park early, you might consider ordering a ride-share service to drop you off in the morning and then catch a gondola back. That way, you'll make it to rope drop and still have your Skyliner ride!
Kelly, are you planning to try for a
boarding group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance? Remember, the first group release time is promptly at 7 a.m., so you can hop on your
My Disney Experience app and try to get in before you even leave your room! And here's a tip courtesy of my dear friend and past planDisney panelist
Brandy B.: open the app a few minutes before 7 a.m. and navigate to the boarding group (or "virtual queue") page. Then keep alternating the "Join" button and back arrow until you see the option to join a boarding group appear. It's worked for me in the past, so fingers crossed it helps you join the resistance, too!
I hope you have a blast on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Kelly. Please stop by and see us again soon!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
