    We are staying at Carribean Beach Resort. What food (i.e. basic groceries - milk, cereal, fresh fruit, water, beer) is available nearby? What is the cost like? Do you recommend a local grocery delivery service as a cheaper option, if so, which one?

    In the gift shop at your resort, you will find available for purchase everything you mentioned and more. I would say that prices are comparable to those in a gas station or convenience store - inflated, but not too terribly so. The beer, however, is very expensive at the resorts. Expect to pay prices similar to a trendy bar.

    If you want to have very many groceries on hand, it is considerably cheaper to either bring them with you, or use a grocery delivery service. You might even consider taking a taxi to a local grocery and liquor store (there are several nearby), if you can shop fast to avoid running the meter up too high.

    As far as grocery delivery, there are several to choose from. GardenGrocer.com is one that I have used myself and have been very pleased. I have only personally used them and Disney's DVC member grocery services. However, if you do an internet search of 'Orlando grocery delivery' you will find several other options to choose from.
