    We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Can you make recommendations for travel time/route for planned meals at Chef Mickeys & Tusker House? Also, what is the travel time from MK to Whispering Canyon via water taxi?

    Hi Jennifer! I can tell you've done your research because you've booked some great dining reservations!

    To reach Chef Mickey's from the Caribbean Beach Resort, take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, and then walk or take the monorail over to the Contemporary Resort. (I'd recommend walking to the Contemporary. You'll have to walk in the opposite direction to get to the monorail station; it's not much farther to just walk to the Contemporary.) The bus ride to the Magic Kingdom takes about 15 minutes. Factor in about ten minutes to walk and another 15 minutes to wait for the bus, which means you should be about the bus stop about 45 minutes before your reservation. 

    For your Tusker House reservation, take a bus to the Animal Kingdom. The ride takes about 25 minutes. Once there, you'll need time to proceed through the bag check and the ticket turnstiles to enter the park, and to stroll to the restaurant near the back of the Animal Kingdom. Plan on leaving the Caribbean Beach about an hour before your reservation to arrive at Tusker House on time.

    The boat ride from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge, where the Whispering Canyon is located, takes about 15 minutes. You'll want to be at the boat dock 30 minutes before your reservation in case you have to wait a bit for a boat to arrive. Don't forget to ask for ketchup at Whispering Canyon!

    You might enjoy the Transportation Wizard found on the unofficial website www.ourlaughingplace.com. It gives you travel times and routes between various destinations at Walt Disney World.
