We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and have a lunch reservation at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Would it be better to take a bus to Animal Kingdom and then a bus to the Lodge or to take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and transfer to a bus to the Lodge.

    Hi Emily,

I am glad to hear that you are checking out some other fabulous Disney Resort hotels while you are staying on-site. Some of my favorite memories at Disney World are out by the savanna at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Even when we are not staying at that resort, we love to head over for a dining reservation or just a visit!

You have the right idea! To get from one resort to the next, you will need to take two forms of Disney World transportation. Transportation only runs from Disney theme parks to Disney Resort hotels and does not run between Disney Resorts. Luckily, it is easy to navigate different transportation methods to get to exactly where you need to be. When traveling from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the best option is to utilize bus transportation.

I recommend using your My Disney Experience app to watch the bus schedule for your resort and get to the bus stop about 10 minutes before the estimated arrival time for Animal Kingdom. This will make sure you don't miss a bus and have to wait a while for the next one to arrive. Once you get to Disney's Animal Kingdom hop straight on the bus headed to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is a super short ride from Animal Kingdom. Be aware that there are two stops at Animal Kingdom Lodge so you will need to know if your dining reservation is at Kidani Village or Jambo House! The walk between the two locations can be pretty far so you don't want to miss your stop.

Even though it seems like a lot of time, I always plan 1 to 1.5 hours to get from one location to the next when using Disney transportation especially if I am trying to make a dining reservation that I don't want to be late for. Worst case scenario, you will be early and have some extra time to explore the resort before you eat lunch.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
