Hi, Kristin! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! My younger daughter absolutely adores those pull-down twin-sized Murphy beds that have been added to many Walt Disney World Resort guest rooms. She has often referred to them as her "tiny princess bed" and refuses to let any of us even sit on it when we are in the room! Many guest rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort do feature these beds, so you have a great chance of trying one out during your upcoming visit.
These beds are a tad bit smaller than a standard twin mattress. I measured one a few years ago and found they were 64" long by 30" wide. I find that they fit children and some tweens well. My older daughter has always been a bit taller than her peers, so she did not find them too comfy when she was eleven ... not that her sister would have even let her sleep on it! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the length is practically perfect for your child!
Kristin, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has been undergoing lots of enhancements in the previous years. I was recently able to tour this resort and loved all of the changes I saw! I do want to highly recommend that you make a dining reservation at
Sebastian's Bistro for dinner one evening. They have a delicious menu and guess who goin' be on that plate when you get hungry? Eeek! Please don't tell Sebastian, but that Crab Cake and the Conch Fritters are my favorites from under the sea!
I hope this information helps you plan sleeping arrangements! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
