We will be staying at the Campsites at Fort Wilderness. We plan to go to the Magic Kingdom on the day we check in, but check in isn’t until 3 pm. Is it possible to go to Magic Kingdom with early transmission that day even when we’re not checked in yet?

    Hi Desiree!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

I’m happy to report that, as a guest of the Campsites at Fort Wilderness, you’ll be able to enjoy Early Entry to the theme parks, even on your check-in and check-out dates.

While you’re more than welcome to wait to check in once you arrive at the campsites, you can also check in early by using your My Disney Experience app. Just click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner of the app, then click Hotel Reservations. There, you can click Start Check-In Now and follow the prompts.

If you decide to head over to the campsites before making your way to Magic Kingdom, a friendly Cast Member will be able to tell you if your campsite is ready yet or not. And if it’s not, they will direct you on where to park in the meantime.

Whether your campsite is ready or not, you’ll be able to enjoy all the amenities around the resort as usual. With so much to do at Fort Wilderness, I highly recommend checking out the Recreation tab on the Fort Wilderness Resort webpage to see all the fun offerings. I’ve heard great things about Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long! While I haven’t been lucky enough to experience it yet, it’s on my list for a future trip.

I hope you have the best time at Disney World! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to reach back out to us at planDisney. We’re always happy to help!
