We will be staying at a campsite at Fort Wilderness in an RV. During our stay, can we park our 19' trailer carrying our boat at our campsite or alternate nearby area? What is the cost for parking the boat-trailer?

Howdy, Diane! I'm so glad that you brought this question to us at planDisney!

I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be joining us at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This campground is a treasured favorite of ours and, when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, my husband and I seem to choose the campsites again and again. In fact, we spent our most recent anniversary here! There's nothing like spending a day experiencing The World's Most Magical Celebration in the parks and then heading "home" to fall asleep under fragrant pines. You're sure to have one memorable vacation!

Diane, I see that you'll be staying at a campsite in an RV and will also be bringing a 19' trailer carrying a boat. The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort have several options to make sure that you have the right campsite for your family's needs. While the campsites vary in size, I think you'll have the best experience by parking your trailer in the nearby parking lot. When you check into this resort, you'll pass by a large parking lot near the front entrance. This will be a perfect place to drop off your trailer! The best news is that, at this time, this option does not require an additional parking fee. As policies can sometimes change, I like to check back closer to my travel date. If this is something you'd like to do, you can contact your resort for more information by calling 407-824-2900 once your trip nears. By dropping off your trailer, you'll be able to maximize the space you have at your campsite so you'll have plenty of room to cook burgers or make some s'mores!

Did you also see the exciting news that's coming to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground? Beginning on January 7, you are able to book a Carriage Ride at Fort Wilderness! This has always been an excursion my husband and I have wanted to experience and I think this would be a great way to add some extra pixie dust to your magical vacation.

Diane, I hope you have an incredible stay at Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to come back if you have any other planning questions.

Faith, trust and pixie dust -
