Jennifer,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I am about to head to Walt Disney World that same week, and my resort is in the same boat. Our main pool is going to still be closed for refurbishment.
During that time, guests are allowed to use other pools on the same property, but using the pools at another resort is still not allowed, unless otherwise specified.
I checked with Disney directly, and while you are staying at the
Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, you would not be able to use the pools at the nearby
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, but at Fort Wilderness you would still have the
Wilderness Swimmin' Pool available to use. It is a bit smaller than the Meadow Pool, but not by much.
BONUS TIP #1While you stay at Fort Wilderness, make sure you visit the
Settlement Trading Post, near the marina. This resort store has some fun souvenirs, including resort-specific shirts.
BONUS TIP #2Another great stop is to visit the newly updated
Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Fort Wilderness. It is a beautiful set of stables, and if the timing is right you could catch a
pony ride!
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
