Staying at Campground at FW in Nov 18. Wondering if Minnie Vans would be a good way to skip the internal bus transportation system, do they pick up at your site? I’ve heard busses can add a significant amount of time to your day. Also may bike rental?

Hi Anneliese and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to hear about your upcoming trip! Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my family’s favorite place to stay when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort and I know you’re going to have a great time!

The Minnie Van Service is a great way to get around the Walt Disney World Resort. You can request a ride by launching the Lyft app on your smartphone and before you know it, your stylish ride will be waiting for you at the lobby of the Fort Wilderness Resort property. While Minnie Vans will not pick you up at your campsite, I do have a really fun way to get you to that main lobby!

When my family visits, we always bring our golf cart with us. It’s the best way to get around the American Frontier themed resort! You can rent a golf-cart for the duration of your visit at the Reception Outpost or you can call (407) 824-2742 to reserve your cart ahead of time. I can tell you from experience, you won’t miss using the bus transportation or riding around in your car at all! You can drive your golf cart all over the Fort Wilderness property and park it at the marina when you want to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom Park. It’s fun and convenient!

Anneliese, I hope this information is helpful to you as you put those finishing touches on your upcoming stay. Feel free to come back to see us if you have any other planning questions. Helping you with all the details is our pleasure!
