We are staying at Cabins in Nov & planning entire extended family trip-14 people, Dec-13. Very interested in AOA for that trip but my husband wants cabins again. Besides the obvious, what are some pros/cons of each resort? Very torn on which one?

Hi Kristen!  How exciting that you will be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" with your extended family! In April, I received a sneak peek tour of Disney's Art of Animation Resort before the official opening and loved the immersive storybook setting and the attention to detail you see at every turn!  We also were treated to a tour of the Finding Nemo Family Suites, which are vibrant and spacious. With that being said, you will only have a mini-kitchen including a microwave, sink, coffee maker, and compact refrigerator as opposed to a full kitchen at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. If you are planning to enjoy meals in your room during your stay, then I would recommend staying at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. I also think you will find a more diverse offering of recreational activities at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort which include fishing, horseback riding, access to Bay Lake Beach, Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long and much more. While staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you will need to travel to all parks via Disney's bus transportation; however, guests can travel to Magic Kingdom from The Cabins at Fort Wilderness via the motor cruiser (water taxi) and via the Disney buses to the other theme parks. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice, but I would personally vote for The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort for a Walt Disney World Vacation with extended family. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please feel free to write back with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a Magical November Trip, Kristen!
    Happy Planning,
