Welcome to
planDisney, Cierra! Two of my favorite things come together when I visit the Walt Disney World Resort and I'm able to bring my
doggies with me. I'm happy to help!
I plan an annual trip to the
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort with my family and my dogs. They love it there and I know yours will too! All the cabins have a good amount of space in between them and behind them. My dog Buster is our watch dog and does pay attention when other guests move around outside, but for the most part, all the loops have been great for our family and our dogs.
We usually bring our dog crates during our visits and that helps to keep both of our dogs more relaxed when we step out of the cabin for a little while. It's also important to know that in order to receive housekeeping, you will have to make an appointment. Housekeeping staff will not enter your Resort hotel room if a dog is inside. When they are left alone, you are required to put the “do not disturb” hanger on the door handle to alert Cast Members that a dog is present.
To make an appointment, just dial the housekeeping button on your in-room telephone to schedule a time. While the Cast Member is tidying up, you can take your dog on a nice walk to enjoy the property. Your dog will also get a welcome gift from Pluto! It usually includes some bowls, a placemat and some small waste bags.
Cierra, I hope I've been helpful. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more questions. Helping you with all the details of your next vacation is
always our pleasure!
Veronica
