We will be staying at the cabins in Fort Wilderness during July. Is there a specific area/ cabin I should request for our cabin?

    Hi Karrie,

How exciting. We just stayed at Fort Wilderness for the first time in February. We had such a great time that we booked another long weekend that we are just days away from. Fort Wilderness offers a long list of amenities to its guests. I think you could spend an entire vacation at the resort and almost have as much fun as you would at the parks-I did say almost.

A great place to view the Fort Wilderness map is at www.allears.net . Go to accommodations and select Fort Wilderness. Once on the main page for Fort Wilderness, you will be able to view a full color resort map. My personal choice for cabin locations is in the 2500 or 2600 loop. All of the cabins utilize the internal bus to move around the property to the main amenity areas but the thing I like about these two loops is they are very close to the small pool area. They are also centrally located between the front entrance, where you will find your transportation to the parks, and the Settlement area, where you can find Mickey's BBQ, Hoop De Doo, the lounge, beach, gift shop and more.

If you are interested you can also rent a golf cart during your stay or some guests bring their own bikes. Be sure to save a night for the Chip and Dale campfire sing-along and movie held nightly. Wishing you a magical trip!
