Hi Amy, and welcome to planDisney. The neighboring Copper Creek Villas is one of my
Disney Vacation Club home resorts so I’m always excited to chat about Wilderness Lodge!
The good news is that
Boulder Ridge Villas,
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, and
Wilderness Lodge all share access to the same two pools—the Copper Creek Springs Pool Area and the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool. Copper Creek Springs has a pool with a water slide, hot and cold whirlpool spas, and a water play area. This is also where you’ll find activities like pool games and trivia during the day. Boulder Ridge Cove has a zero-depth entry pool and hot whirlpool spa. My family likes to hang out at this pool because there are little shaded seating areas with cushioned chairs and a small table. We’ll usually
mobile order food from
Roaring Fork or
Geyser Point Bar & Grill To Go and eat poolside.
During your stay at Boulder Ridge Villas, be sure to stop by the
Carolwood Pacific Room right off of the lobby (this is in Boulder Ridge Villas, not the main Wilderness Lodge building). Dedicated to Walt Disney’s backyard railroad, you’ll find photos of Walt and two of the original cars from his miniature railway. It’s such a hidden gem!
If you’re interested in learning more about that room, and Wilderness Lodge in general, there’s a Wonders of the Lodge Art & Architecture Tour that gave me a greater appreciation for the resort's details. When I stayed there earlier this year, it ran every morning at 9:00 A.M., but I’d recommend checking with the front desk for the latest schedule and meeting location.
I hope you have a magical stay at Boulder Ridge Villas next month! If you have any other questions, you’re always welcome at planDisney.
