Ahoy, Susan!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney as you prepare for a land and sea adventure next month! Combining a stay at Walt Disney World Resort with a Disney Cruise Line vacation is the perfect way to add even more magic to your trip.
Unfortunately, given the distance between Walt Disney World and
Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Disney Cruise Line does not currently offer
ground transportation. One option you may want to consider is booking a one-way car rental for the drive to the port. The
Disney Car Care Center offers rental car options through several preferred partners. It is important to keep in mind that the drive time between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale is roughly three to three and a half hours, depending on traffic, so you'll want to plan accordingly.
My planDisney pal,
Nancy, also recently
shared her experience taking the Brightline train from the station at Orlando International Airport to Fort Lauderdale. This is another option that may work for your plans and could be worth considering.
Susan, if you haven't already done so, now is the perfect time to also start making any dining reservations that you may want to enjoy during your time at Walt Disney World!
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are not only beautiful, but also conveniently located near some great dining options. I had one of my favorite dinner experiences at
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with some of my planDisney friends last year. The character interactions were great, and the food was phenomenal! You can also easily catch a boat to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for dinner and a show at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. This toe-tapping, foot-stomping, hand-clapping good time is another favorite of mine!
I hope this information has been helpful, Susan, and that you enjoy every magical moment of your Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line vacation! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
