we will be staying at the boardwalk villas in a couple of weeks and i do understand that there will be no daily housekeeping as we are staying with a DVC equivalent....however i would like to know if we need to provide our own dish soap, towels etc?

    Hi Anthony,

I think you will love staying at the Boardwalk Villas! This is one of my homes and my family has enjoyed many fun vacations at this resort.

While staying at the Boardwalk Villas, you will be given a start up supply of toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and soap. You will also receive all of your towels as well. For the kitchen, you will receive a start up dish and dishwasher detergent and sponges and towels and paper towels. You will have all of your dishes, bakeware and pots if your unit is equipped with a full kitchen. For a studio, you will receive paper goods only as you only have a refrigerator and microwave to cook.  If you have a laundry unit, you may even have a small supply of laundry detergent.

You basically receive everything you would in a regular hotel room it just will not be resupplied daily unless you would like to spend the extra money for this service. You will receive a towel refresh on day four of your stay and you will receive a change of sheets and towels on day eight. The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resorts believe you are at "home" so this is why they do not have daily maid service plus it is environmentally friendly. Plus you can always call housekeeping for any needs.

When we travel to the DVC properties, I always bring napkins, zippered top bags and aluminum foil for the kitchen and I do bring larger bottles of shampoo and conditioner as well as toothpaste and a bar of soap so I have what I need.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
