We are staying at the Boardwalk this summer, and my teenagers want to skyline over from the Epcot stop to the Riviera to eat at Bar Riva. Will we need to transfer, and how late will the Skyliner be running?

Thanks so much for sending in your question to planDisney, Julie! I’m so excited you’re staying at Disney’s BoardWalk this summer. What a perfect spot to be right in the heart of the magic!

Now, let’s talk about the “most magical flight on earth,” the Disney Skyliner! You and your teens can absolutely hop on the Skyliner at EPCOT’s International Gateway and head straight to Disney’s Riviera Resort without needing to transfer. The ride is super easy and takes less than 10 minutes, plus the views over World Showcase (especially the France pavilion) are just dreamy. You’ll feel like you’re flying right over Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!

As for hours, Disney doesn’t post official Skyliner times online, but you’ll find signs at each station with that day’s schedule. In general, the Skyliner starts running about an hour before Early Entry and typically stays open about 90 minutes after EPCOT or Hollywood Studios close. If EPCOT has Extended Evening Hours during your stay, it might run even later; perfect for a relaxing evening ride to the Riviera.

And speaking of relaxing… Bar Riva is such a great choice! It’s open-air, laid-back, and no reservations are needed. Just walk up and grab a seat (either at a table or the bar, if there’s space). They’ve got a great mix of casual bites and elevated options. The signature burger is always a hit, and the burrata salad is chef’s kiss. If your teens are hungry, the Chicken Strips are delicious, but if they’re feeling adventurous, tell them to try the grown-up version with truffle aioli and Parmesan garlic sauce. Don’t sleep on the cookie skillet for dessert. It’s made with their famous Riviera cookie, and it’s so good. Trust me, it’s one of those “I didn’t know I needed this in my life” treats.

Julie, I hope you and your crew have the best time resort-hopping and soaking in those summer vibes. Enjoy your evening at the Riviera Resort. Au revoir and bon appétit!
