We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn next month. Is it possible to walk to Epcot and board the monorail to get to Chef Mickey at the Contemporary Resort?

    Hi Jennifer,

Love the Boardwalk Inn! Matter of fact we will be there next month also, it is one of our favorite resorts. Not only is the resort gorgeous with tons of fun amenities but it is in an ideal location.

Guests are able to walk or take the boat from the Boardwalk Inn to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can certainly walk to Epcot and use the monorail to head over to the Contemporary Resort, we have done it ourselves many times. It will take a few steps though.

You will need to enter Epcot from the World Showcase entrance located at the end of the Boardwalk Resort area. Once inside Epcot, make your way to the front of the park and exit Epcot. The entrance to the monorail will be just outside the gates. Take the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). Once at the TTC, you will need to switch monorails to the other track which will take you to the Contemporary Resort. Make sure you choose the monorail that includes stops at the resorts and is not the express to Magic Kingdom only.

It sounds like quite a process but it is quite simple and my boys love to have a reason to ride the monorail. Hope you have a great time!
