Hi there, Erika! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question.
You’re going to love staying at
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, especially in October and December when EPCOT is in full swing with festival season! The location truly can’t be beat. My husband and I stayed in a 1-Bedroom Villa there last December during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and we loved being able to walk into EPCOT through the International Gateway entrance. We’d pop in for some festival food, head back to the room for a midday break, and then stroll back over later in the evening. It was the best kind of Disney day.
Now, onto your laundry question! I actually have a picture in my camera roll from our stay (my husband always laughs that I take too many room photos, but moments like this prove why it’s worth it)! While offerings can always change, the laundry detergent provided in our villa was ECOS brand, specifically their hypoallergenic “Free & Clear” version, which is unscented. It came in a small plastic bottle, and each bottle was enough for about two loads. We had two bottles in our room, and housekeeping let us know they could bring more during our
Trash & Towel service, which typically happens on the fourth day of a stay of seven nights or less. You can also call Mousekeeping if you need additional detergent sooner. Also, dryer sheets aren’t included, so if you like to use them, I’d recommend tossing a few into your suitcase.
Since you’ll be visiting during both the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and the Festival of the Holidays, be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. Their Disney Eats Foodie Guides are great and give a full list of all the dishes and drinks at the marketplaces, so you can start planning your must-try bites in advance. And don’t forget that you’ll be eligible for
Early Theme Park Entry as a Disney Resort hotel Guest, which is a great way to get ahead of the crowds for popular attractions like
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure before the festival booths even open!
Wishing you
loads of fun, Erika, with lots of delicious festival snacks and (hopefully) only a few loads of laundry! If you have any more questions before your trips, I’m all ears.
See ya real soon,
Eean
