We're staying in a 2 bedroom villa at Bay Lake Towers for an upcoming family vacation. Do the kitchens include dishwashers and if so is dishwasher liquid and dish detergent provided? Are paper towels provided? Thank you.

    Welcome Home Debra!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love Bay Lake Towers at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s got the perfect location, being a quick walk away from Magic Kingdom Park and the Monorail running through the Resort gives you access to all the rest of the Magic!

The last time we stayed at the Resort, we made full use of the kitchens and ended up eating the majority of our meals in our Villa. It’s because the kitchens feel like a home-away-from-home! They are fully stocked with a dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and a full set of eating utensils. There are even cooking utensils and pots and pans! It is a one-stop shop so that you can immerse yourself in your home-away-from-home.

The dishwasher uses powder soap, and there will be a box on your arrival. There is also a small bottle of liquid detergent if you want to hand wash any of the dishes. I tend to pack a small baggie of dishwasher pods, and they work great. A full roll of paper towels will be either on the counter or under the sink. They also provide a box of powder laundry detergent for your in-suite washer and dryer. I have yet to find dryer sheets, so bring your own if you want them! But no worries, Mousekeeping will happily restock the amenities if you don’t want to pack extra.

Even though I know you are going to love utilizing your kitchen, if you want a break from meal prep, book breakfast at The Wave… of American Flavors. Their signature sweet potato pancakes with pecan-honey butter and a side of sausage are MY perfect way to start a Disney day!

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. Have a wonderful vacation!
