James, your question has brought back so many magical memories for me this morning! Our first three Walt Disney World Resort vacations as a family were spent in a 1-bedroom villa at Disney's Beach Club Villas and it is quite honestly the accommodations we consider practically perfect in every way! The resort's location next to Epcot is absolutely pixie-dusted and they offer so many fun activities for the kids. Speaking of activities, be sure to see if they are offering
Painting in the Vineyard while you are there. This is a really fun painting class held at
Martha's Vineyard for ages 12 and up, during which you paint a Disney-themed design on canvas while the instructor leads you step-by-step on how to complete it. I have done many of these at my local "wine and painting" shops and am really looking forward to doing a canvas while on our own upcoming vacation.
So, let's chat more about your villa. Since you have
booked the room through general reservations instead of staying on
Disney Vacation Club points, then you will receive daily Mousekeeping services. They will provide the usual housekeeping-type services, such as making the beds and general cleaning. They will also replenish many of the disposable amenities as needed, including toiletries and cleaning supplies. Since your villa will be equipped with a clothes washer, dryer, and dishwasher, you will receive clothing and dish detergent to last through your stay. These will be replenished as needed. If you have a specific brand of detergent that you prefer, then I recommend you bring that. Note that the washers in the villas are standard washers, not HE (high efficiency) ones.
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question, James! I hope you have a magical day and please let us know if you have any other questions!
