Staying at Beach Club Villas.Boys will be 3 & 4 yrs old.Now I am worried that Stormalong Bay will be too much for them(or too difficult for parents to keep up with them & keep them safe) Will they be able to enjoy this resort?Should we consider cha

My girls LOVE Stormalong Bay and did from the moment we first took them there when they were two years old.

Stormalong Bay is huge, but it is sectioned off into fairly discrete areas. There is one area of the pool, the sand bar, that is perfect for preschoolers and is fairly well separated from the deeper parts of the pool. The sand bar zone is uniformly about waist high on a preschooler. The bottom is covered with real sand, just like at the beach. There is a large sand pile in the middle where kids can bury each other or build castles. To me, this is so much better than the actual beach because there are no waves to knock the kids over and they're not complaining about salt in their eyes.

Right next to the pool is Hurricane Hannah's snack bar. The kids' meals here are served in plastic sand buckets that can double as toys when the meal is done. But don't worry if you're not in the mood to buy lunch, usually guests who are leaving will pass their buckets along to others.

If you want to take your kids to the deeper parts of Stormalong Bay, you could borrow a life jacket from the pool shop. Rafts are also available for rental and pool noodles can be purchased. There is also a mini water slide that empties into a shallower pool, if you're not ready to have them try the giant slide.

The Beach Club has always been my family's favorite. I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.
