We will be staying at the Beach Club Villas and would like to ride the monorail as an attraction rather than a means of transportation. How would I go about boarding the monorail from our resort? Is there a cost to ride if not staying at Disney? Thanks

    Hi Michael,

There is no charge for anyone to ride the monorail, no matter where they're staying. You won't need tickets or reservations, just ride whenever you like.

Unfortunately the monorail does not connect directly to the Beach Club, so you won't be able to pick it up at your resort, but you are welcome to ride it elsewhere. You have a few options for this.

If you're visiting Epcot, exit the front of the park and you can hop on the monorail heading to the Magic Kingdom. If you're at the Magic Kingdom, you can board there and take the loop around the MK resort area, stopping at the Contemporary, Transportation Center, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian.

You can use the monorail as transportation or a as a ride, taking the "highway in the sky" to see the sights.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
