I am staying in a 1BR Beach Club Villa with my family. Is there an oven (in addition to the microwave)? Is the kitchen stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, etc? I don't want to order groceries online if I can only prepare snacks, but not meals.

Hi, Carrie!  In the one bedroom villas at the Beach Club - or any of the Disney Vacation Club resort properties, you will find a full kitchen, which means an oven/stove as well as a microwave.  The kitchens have dinner sized plates, salad or bread sized plates, cereal bowls, all of your utensils and a variety of drinking glasses and coffee cups.  You will also find some basic cookware - pots, a frying pan, and the utensils you would need to cook with.  The kitchen is also equipped with a toaster and a coffee maker, as well as a pitcher to make iced tea or lemonade.

You'll have a dishwasher, although if you are going to use it often, you might want to get some dishwasher soap (I bring a few of the toss in kind when I travel).  Some will be provided, but I usually find I need more and prefer my own.  The villa will also have a stackable washer and dryer.  Again, I bring my own detergent, but we have allergies in our house, so I try to be cautious even on vacation.

So, if you are so inclined, you can prepare full meals with your Beach Club Villa kitchen!  And then you can invite me over, because I hate cooking on vacation!

    Have a great time!
