We are staying at the Beach club resort and was wondering how to get to & how long it would take to get to the horseback riding in Fort Wilderness? We are only in WDW for 8 days and our first time there. Is it worth it? Have riding experience as wel

    Hi Brad,

Disney's Beach Club Resort is one of my family's favorite resorts. We love being able to walk to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. We also love heading to the Boardwalk area in the evenings to shop or ride a surrey bike.

If you want to go to Fort Wilderness, you need to head to Magic Kingdom and then take a boat over to Fort Wilderness. I recommend you do this on a day you are at Magic Kingdom so the travel time does not seem as long. A late afternoon trail ride might be fun to break up the day and take some down town from the parks. It could take you up to two hours to get to Fort Wilderness from the Beach Club if you count your wait and travel time.

My family generally plans one extra special treat on each trip. The trail ride would be an example of an extra treat for my family. We have also done a dinner show like the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or La Nouba. However, sometimes we concentrate on just the parks and the resort.

The Beach Club is such a cool resort you will want spend the day at the pool which is really a mini water park. I might save the trail ride for another trip as you will have so many new things to explore in just the parks. I would not want you to miss those magical moments.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
