We are staying at the Beach Club and have breakfast reservations in Magic Kingdom for 7:55, how long does it take to get from the resort to Magic Kingdom by Disney bus? How soon should we leave the resort?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathleen! Thank you so much for bringing us your question about transportation! I am so glad to hear you have breakfast reservations at Magic Kingdom Park! What a great day to start your day!

Buses begin to operate 45 minutes prior to park opening. In order to go to the Magic Kingdom Park from Disney's Beach Club Resort, you can catch a bus; it is not that far so the ride itself is probably 15 minutes, however, be sure to allow enough time to walk from your room to where the buses are, then wait for the bus and once you're at the theme park, do not forget you still have to identify yourself to enter the park and walk to the restaurant to check in. Look for a podium for guests with breakfast reservations if the theme park has not open to the public yet. Having said all that, I would recommend you allow at least 45 minutes to get from your resort to the restaurant.

If you would like to avoid the stress, let me recommend Disney's Minnie Van Service. This super cute and relatively new taxi service works with the Lyft app, which you need to have downloaded on your phone if you choose to use this service. Using this service is very simple, once you open the app from your Disney Resort location, it'll prompt you to select where you are going. You can simply follow the steps just like you would on any other taxi app and since it is connected to your credit card, you do not even need to worry about having cash available. Minnie Vans are roomy and can accommodate up to 6 guests. They also come equipped with 2 versatile car seats, should you need them, at no additional cost. Whenever I have breakfast reservations so early in the morning, I choose to ride a Minnie Van to avoid the hassle.

Kathleen, I hope this information is helpful in your planning. Remember we are here for any more questions you may have. Please come back soon!

    Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
