We are staying at BC Villas, on EMH morning at EPCOT is it better to take a cab to EPCOT or Disney transportation to MK and take the Monorail to EPCOT's main gate? I have heard this will save time walking from the international gateway entrance.

I have stayed at the Beach Club Villas many times. It really is a five minute walk away from the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. The lines at security and the entrance turnstiles here are usually minimal because so few people enter here, so this part of your day goes very quickly -- maybe one minute. Then the walk to Future World, depending on your pace, takes another 7 to 10 minutes.

You could possibly take a cab to the front entrance of Epcot. This would cost approximately $10. You'd have to get the cab and drive to the front entrance. This would take probably 10 minutes. Then you'd still have to go through security at the front of Epcot which is much busier, using about 5-10 minutes there. Then you still have to walk to your attraction, another five minutes. There is NO time savings involved and there is a cost expenditure.

They WILL let you into Epcot via the International Gateway when Future World opens, even for early entry. You just have to walk past England and Canada into the Future World area.

The other option you suggest is really very time consuming. You'd have to go out to the bus area, wait for the bus to the Magic Kingdom, ride the 20 minutes to the MK, switch to the monorail area, wait there, and take the 20 minute ride back to Epcot. Then you still have to go through Epcot security and walk to your attractions. This is easily an hour or more of time and waaaay more hassle.

Frankly, I can't imagine doing anything other than just walking to the International Gateway. The ability to do this is one of the main reasons that we stay primarily at the Beach Club. The ease is incredible. That is the choice I would definitely take.

    Hope this help.
