Hi, we're staying at BC soon with Standard Dining Plan. I'm travelling with my husband, neither of us are big dessert eaters, so i wondered, is it possible to substitute dessert for an appetiser? Many thanks in advance!

    Hi Jennifer!

Great name by the way.  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I hope you are having a wonderful time finalizing all of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans.   I hope you have the BEST VACATION EVER!

My husband also does not have much of a sweet tooth and would rather start his meal with a side salad or appetizer.  In my experience using one of the Disney Dining Plans some restaurants are able to substitute dessert for another option such as appetizer, soup or salad and others are not.   For example at Ohana your food is served family style and you receive appetizers, main course and dessert with every meal no exceptions.  Other places were able to accommodate him with no problem at all.  I suggest you ask your server as soon as you are seated for your dining reservations, all Disney Cast Members are into making magic happen and they will do their best to assist you.

I hope this has helped.  Please visit again with any further questions you may have.  It's always fun to lend a helping to fellow Guests.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,

    Jen
