Hi ! We are staying at Bay Lake tower next week. Can you advise if a. The Hot Tubs are open and b. Do you have to wear a mask to enter ?

Oh Boy, Christoph! Mickey and I hEAR you're heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth in a few short days! You've come to the right place!

My family likes to call Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort our "Home Base with Extra Space," and it's a resort we return to time and time again. One of my favorite spots is the lush bamboo-filled courtyard (my kiddos love to play ping-pong here) and the neighboring Bay Cove Pool, where we've spent countless hours. I've also been known to rest my weary legs in the adjacent hot tube after an exhausting Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend!

I was able to confirm today that while guests are expected to wear face coverings to enter the pool areas and while lounging, they are not required while swimming. So feel free to enjoy some mask-free time in the hot tub (and yes indeed, they are open!) with a frosty drink from the Cove Bar in hand. Also, to maintain physical distancing, some lounge chairs on the pool decks have been removed, and the remaining ones are set up in pods. Capacity is capped once the available chairs are filled, but this is rarely an issue. I recommend checking out the Know Before You Go page for more details.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Christoph. I hope your trip goes swimmingly!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
