Staying at Bay Lake Tower in June with husband, daughters (4 & 13), mother & mother-in-law. Thinking of getting the deluxe dining plan - is it worth it? Want to do character dining and eat nice food not just fast food & maybe a show?? Any su

    Hi Cherise!

I absolutely love the Disney Dining Plans and I do think that the Deluxe Dining Plan is worth the money if you enjoy eating sit-down meals at the parks and resorts.

The Deluxe Dining Plan allows each guest in your party to have three meals and two snacks per night of your package.

If you enjoy character dining, nice meals and dinner shoes, the Deluxe Dining Plan is the way to go. My favorite dinner show is  the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, which is a fun experience for parents and kids alike. This show takes two table-service meals for either Category 2 or Category 3 seats for the 4 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. shows or Categories 1, 2 and 3 seats for the 8:30 p.m. show (show times valid until February 11. Reservations booked after February 12 will be for shows 5, 7:15 and 9:30 p.m.) Call (407) 827-2253 for more information on the category of seating and to book a reservation.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is another fun dinner show and is held at Fort Wilderness Resort. Both of these shows are a fun way to eat, experience time with the characters and have a great time!

Buying the Deluxe Dining Plan will also allow you to experience fun character dining, such as breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table and experience signature dining, such as at The Hollywood Brown Derby

I hope you have a magical stay at Walt Disney World!

    Magically,
    Stacy
