Welcome Home, Casey!
You are about to stay at one of my favorite
Disney Vacation Club properties! I love the styling, but mainly I love the convenience. The Monorail runs straight through the hotel, and Magic Kingdom Park is a leisurely five-minute walk away. We choose the Resort so often that my daughter requested that the next time we visit that we stay anywhere BUT there! (I don’t know though, I think mom and dad might trump her request!)
You are going to love watching the fireworks from your Villa! Since you have a Theme Park view, you will have a fantastic front-row seat to
Happily Ever After. We spent the Fourth of July in a
Theme Park View room, and during the holiday spectacular, we felt like we were eye-level with the fireworks. It was so sensational that we decided to make it a family tradition!
When you can tEAR yourself away from your amazing Villa, I think the
Ale & Compass is a great alternative! The Restaurant is known for it’s tantalizing New England-style fare, and I can attest the Lobster and Corn Chowder is delicious! Unfortunately, you can’t get there by sea, but If you want to take the
Monorail, it is doable! Jump on the Monorail at the Resort, switch lines at the Transportation & Ticket Center, and get off at Epcot. You can take a leisurely walk through the
2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival (you will need a valid Park ticket), and then exit at Epcot’s International Gateway. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the restaurant.
If you want a more straightforward route to your meal, I would suggest taking a
Minnie Van! The polka-dotted beauty will pick you up at the front of
Bay Lake Towers at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and drop you off at the front of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Simple, and as easy as a click of the button through the Lyft app.
Casey, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I wish you a magical stay!
