I am staying at the Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary. I am traveling with my 4 year old. Would you recommend splitting up a day at the Animal Kingdom with a nap or doing in one piece? Is bus the best. Realistic travel times including waiting?

Hi Mary! Thank you for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have a soon to be 4-year-old, and recently Disney's Animal Kingdom has been his favorite park! He especially loves the Festival of the Lion King and Kali River Rapids, so be sure you catch those!

When we are visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom, we usually arrive right as the park opens, as that is one of the best times to see the animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is our first stop. Generally, we can complete everything that my little one wants to do, including a stop at The Boneyard, by around 4 when we head back to the hotel, so for this park, we generally do not head back for a nap. My one exception to our no nap plan would be if we wanted to say to see Rivers of Light: We Are One. In order for my little one to make it to any nighttime show, we need to schedule a nap or have a later start to our day.

Whichever you choose to do, Mary, I know that your little one will have a wild adventure! Please come back over to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help you as you plan your magical vacation!
