We are staying at Bay Lake Tower in August and would like to know whether wireless internet access is available. If so, what is the cost? Thanks.

    Hi Kathy,

I have stayed at Bay Lake Towers several times. There is no wireless internet access at BLT, or in any of the Disney resorts. However there is wired Internet access available in all of the Disney hotel rooms. There is a cable provided in the room which you can plug into your computer. Prices can change, but currently the cost is approximately $10 per contiguous 24-hour period. The only exception to this is that guests staying at Disney Vacation Club resorts (such as Bay Lake) using DVC points, are allowed free Internet access.

There are a few loopholes to this. I have had luck finding free wireless access in some of the public areas of the resorts, particularly those with convention space, like the Contemporary. I was at WDW in January and was waiting for a friend in the lounge area of the Wave restaurant at the Contemporary. I had wonderful free Wifi access on my iPad at that spot. There's no guarantee that this hasn't been changed, but it's certainly worth a shot.

    Good luck!
